Top up your Motion card
Top-ups are paid on the official Cyprus Public Transport website. CyBus keeps your card number on this phone and copies it for you, so topping up takes one paste.
What happens on the official page
- Paste your card number and choose what to top up: credit for the e-wallet (€5 to €100, and the wallet may hold at most €50 afterwards), or a 7-day, 30-day or 365-day pass (Nicosia and Larnaca districts only).
- Pay with a credit or debit card on the bank’s secure payment page, or with a 12-digit top-up voucher.
- Add an email address if you want a receipt, accept the terms, and confirm.
- The top-up is activated on your card within 24 hours.
Which option to choose
For day-to-day travel, top up the e-wallet (pay-as-you-go): fares are taken from it each trip. Choose a 7-day, 30-day or 365-day pass only if you travel often in the Nicosia or Larnaca district — passes are not sold for the other districts.
Your card and your payment
CyBus is an independent app, not Cyprus Public Transport. The payment is made on their website and the bank’s page; CyBus never sees your payment details. Your card number is stored only on this phone, and only if you ask it to be.
